AI story to video generator you can start free
People who type "AI story to video generator free" usually want one finished episode before they pay. That is a fair test.
Create an AlphaDrama account, get starter credits, and paste a short story. You review the script and the shot list, then you see the render price before any video is generated.
Example: 90-second first-person story: a bridesmaid finds the real baker's note inside the wedding cake box, and reads it aloud at the toast.
What "free" means here
New accounts get starter credits. Those credits cover a first pass: the story breakdown, the cast lock and a short render, depending on length. Longer episodes and extra regenerations use more credits. Nothing renders until you accept the price.
From pasted story to a watchable cut
The story becomes scenes and shots. Dialogue can stay as you wrote it. A narrator or character voices are timed to the picture, and captions are burned in for sound-off viewing.
- Works with short fiction, first-person stories and chapter excerpts
- Characters keep the same face from the first shot to the last
- Export 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
A first story that fits the credits
Start with a 60 to 90 second piece: one location, two or three people, one turn at the end. That length is enough to judge the cast, the voice and the pacing without spending a full episode budget.
- Open on the most dramatic sentence, not the backstory
- Keep most spoken lines under fifteen words
- End one beat before the payoff so a series can continue
When you outgrow the starter credits
If the pilot works, the same project holds the cast for episode two. You buy credits as you go. There is no separate "pro render" mode hiding behind the free start: the pipeline is the same.
What this is not
It is not unlimited free rendering, and it is not a stock-clip slideshow. If you need a single decorative clip with no recurring character, a general text-to-video model may be enough. This page is for stories you want to publish as episodes.
How it works
Start with a story or a product
Paste a chapter, an outline or a one-line idea. For an ad, add product photos or a product link.
We cast, storyboard and voice it
Characters get fixed looks, scenes get sets, and the script is split into shots with voices and captions.
Review the price, then export
You see the cost before any video renders. Export a 9:16 file for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
Frequently asked questions
Is the story to video generator free?
You can start free with starter credits. You always see the price before a render. Extra length and retries use more credits.
Do I need a credit card to try it?
You can create an account and use starter credits first. Add a payment method when you want more renders.
Will the free version watermark the video?
Exports are a normal MP4. Check the current plan details in the studio before you publish.
Can I finish a whole series on starter credits?
A short pilot, usually. A multi-episode series uses more credits because each episode renders its own shots.
