How to make an AI-generated series that viewers finish

A single AI video is a clip. A series is a cast people recognize and a reason to come back tomorrow. That is a different plan.

This page is the working order AlphaDrama is built around: premise, lock, episode map, review, then publish on a schedule.

Example: Five-episode plan: a waitress is hired as a stand-in fiancée; episode 1 is the gala; episode 5 is the real fiancée walking in.

A woman in a red gown faces a man in a navy suit across a gala ballroom

Step 1 — Write a series premise, not a movie

A vertical series needs a want that can restart every episode. "She is a waitress who must pretend to be a fiancée for thirty days" gives you thirty doors. "Two people fall in love" does not.

  • Name two or three regulars, not a dozen
  • Give the lead one secret the audience knows
  • Decide the last image of episode one before you write episode two

Step 2 — Lock the cast and the rooms

Generate or upload a portrait and a full-body look for each regular. Do the same for two or three locations you will reuse. If you skip this, episode three will look like a remake with a new cast.

Step 3 — Map five episodes before you render one

Each episode should have one job: a humiliation, a secret, a public test, a near-reveal, a choice. Write the cliffhanger line first. Then paste that episode into AlphaDrama and let it break the scene into shots.

  • Episode 1: the hook and the deal
  • Episodes 2–4: pressure, not new premises
  • Episode 5: a payoff and a new threat

Step 4 — Review the shot list like an editor

Delete coverage that restates what the last shot already showed. Shorten speeches. Keep reaction close-ups on the reversal. You see the price before any video generates, so this pass costs little in time and in credits.

Step 5 — Post on a rhythm the algorithm can learn

Pick TikTok, Reels or Shorts (or all three from the same 9:16 file). Post on a schedule you can keep for two weeks. Use the same title pattern and the same cast so returning viewers recognize the show in the feed.

How it works

  1. Start with a story or a product

Paste a chapter, an outline or a one-line idea. For an ad, add product photos or a product link.

  2. We cast, storyboard and voice it

Characters get fixed looks, scenes get sets, and the script is split into shots with voices and captions.

  3. Review the price, then export

You see the cost before any video renders. Export a 9:16 file for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

Frequently asked questions

How many episodes should I make first?

Five is enough to test whether viewers return. Ten if the first five hold retention.

How do I keep characters consistent across episodes?

Keep every episode in the same project so portraits, bodies and sets are reused.

What length works for an AI series episode?

60 to 120 seconds. Long enough for a turn, short enough to finish on a phone.

Can I adapt a novel chapter-by-chapter?

Yes. See the novel-to-video page; the series steps on this page still apply.
